You approve every keeper

The Librarian never files anything on its own. It reads what’s already in the thread, notices the handful of things worth keeping, and brings them to you as suggestions — a wifi password here, an appointment there. You say yes or no to each one, and only the ones you keep land in your family record.

Nothing it does ever shows up in the chat. It doesn’t post, it doesn’t reply, it doesn’t announce itself to the family. The suggestions come to you privately, and the conversation stays exactly as it was.

It knows what not to keep

A record is only useful if you can trust what it won’t touch. The Librarian files the low-stakes, practical things — wifi and streaming logins, a membership number, a standing appointment. It deliberately leaves the sensitive things alone: anything about money, passwords to real accounts, medical details, and anything touching custody or where someone is.

And the categories are yours. Each family can shape what the Librarian keeps an eye out for, and add its own — so the record fills up with the things your household actually reaches for, and nothing else.

Off until you ask for it

The Librarian is opt-in. Family chat works perfectly well without it, and it stays off until someone turns it on. When you do, it settles into the same family record everything else lives in — so the wifi password you kept on Tuesday is right there the next time a cousin visits, no scrolling required.
